About Us
Next Step House is a sober house for men. It was established in October of 2000 by Alex Linsky. The location was carefully chosen to provide accessibility to all needed services. Employment and twelve-step NA and AA meetings are within close proximity of the halfway house.
In the Spring of 1997, Alex arrived in Florida homeless and strung out. For Alex to have the opportunity to provide a sober living environment is beyond his wildest dreams. It is a direct result of Alex working the steps and not picking up. Alex has remained clean since his first beginner white key tag and has the opportunity to give back what was so freely given to him.
We have our share of ups and downs, with men changing their minds about what path to take, but we have many more success stories. Some have chosen to stay well past their commitment and they are proof that there is hope and that we do recover.
